Japanese Acupuncture treats Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Fibromyalgia
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease) and Fibromyalgia are conditions that are not fully understand. Treatments are designed to help with symptoms and Western Medicine offers no known cure. However, ten years after being diagnosed with CFS by two specialists in the field, I fully recovered and have stayed healthy and thrived for the past 20 years.
I have asked myself, "How can this be?" My answer is that even though there is not a known cure for these illnesses, or a medication that consistently makes patients well, there is a path to wellness for each individual. I walked that path to full health, and I can help you walk it too.
Treatments start with a complete health history. CFS and Fibromyalgia do not refer to specific illnesses. Rather, they are diseases that contain a certain set of symptoms. Symptoms for each person may be different. Based on your health history and your diet and whether or not you are able to exercise, we begin to look at what may be contributing to your pain and lack of energy. With this knowledge we can look for treatment strategies that are effective in getting you to feel better.
While the path to health may take awhile, I've seen many people start to feel more energy and hope with just a few treatments. As they begin to feel better, they are able to incorporate more activities into their lives, leading to a better quality of living. Each step on this path brings with it a greater understanding of what's out of balance and strategies to bring the body back into a balanced state.
