One of the most powerful ways to heal, eliminate pain and lose weight is by eating a diet based on whole foods -- lot's of veggies, whole grains, healthy fats & healthy proteins.

Sadly, our culture encourages fast foods, highly processed foods & often unconscious patterns of eating so it's easy to get into unhealthy habits.  This makes sense.

The good news is that you can change all that!!  

I absolutely know that you can enjoy food and also stay healthy.  There is no secret formula, special diet or magic supplements. 

The answer is to eat lots of vegetables, healthy fats, whole grains and healthy proteins. It's one of the most powerful, least expensive, most sustainable things that you can do to get and stay healthy. 

I'm talking about eating real foods -- things that you can purchase at your local grocery store.

This group will teach you HOW to get from where you are now to a place of joy & comfort & deliciousness when it comes to eating.

And you'll get to do it without fad diets, costly supplements or overly rigid rules.

I'll teach the principles of healthy eating that I follow daily.  As true when I'm home, as they are when I travel & visit family & friends.
The group will meet for 12 weeks, plenty of time for you to make changes at your own pace & see results.

The next group will begin in January, 2025.

Here's how the Yummy Healthy Food Group Works

Prior to the start of the group, I'll have you fill out a food diary.  Then we'll meet online, individually, for 30 minutes so that we can get to know each other and I can address any dietary restrictions that you have.  I'll make one or two suggestions to get you started eating Yummy Healthy food.

Once the group begins, each week we'll meet on Zoom.  We'll start with a brief meditation and a check-in.  I'll give a teaching related to healthy eating.  We'll close with everyone sharing a goal for the week & an inspirational quote from me.

Since the group will be no more than 6 people & myself, you'll get individualized attention.  You'll receive a simple written instruction each week.  You'll always be able to email me with questions between group meetings.

  • Grocery shop wisely
  • Prepare delicious food
  • Set goals to keep you on track
  • Eat out and socialize guilt-free
  • Eat healthy when you're traveling

Yummy Healthy Food Guidelines

This group is a commitment to yourself & the folks in it.

You'll be asked to:
  • Show up each week on Zoom (Classes will not be recorded, but I'll a follow up email after each group).
  • Track what you're eating.
  • Make an effort to give up processed foods & those with added sugar & replace them with whole foods
  • Spend an hour each day either shopping or preparing food.
  • Prepare your own food at home & find restaurants with nutritious options.
  • Make simple, sustainable changes with gentleness & compassion for yourself.
  • ​Be supportive of the others in the group, without trying to fix anyone.

We'll join together to compassionately hold each other accountable when we set goals & explore healthier ways of eating and healthier relationships with food.

Yummy Healthy Food Can Help with High Blood Pressure & High Cholesterol

Processed foods with added sugar & salt, caffeine, deli meats, and trans fats contribute to higher blood pressure.  Processed oils, fried snacks, dairy, alcohol and refined grains can lead to high cholesterol.  Interestingly, most foods that are unhealthy for one condition are also unhealthy for others.  This means that switching to a whole foods diet reduces the risk of many diseases.

Healthy eating and weight loss can prevent or delay Type 2 diabetes particularly if you're prediabetic, overweight, have high cholesterol or have a family history of diabetes.  Studies show that a diet high in fiber that includes non-starchy vegetables, protein and heart-healthy fats is associated with lower diabetic risk.
