I absolutely know that you can enjoy food and also stay healthy.  There is no secret formula, special diet or magic supplements. 

The answer is to eat lots of vegetables, healthy fats, whole grains and healthy proteins. It's one of the most powerful, least expensive, most sustainable things that you can do to get and stay healthy. 

I'm talking about eating real foods -- things that you can purchase at your local grocery store.


I'll teach you HOW to get from where you are now to a place of joy & comfort & deliciousness when it comes to eating.

And you'll get to do it without fad diets, costly supplements or overly rigid rules.

I'll teach the principles of healthy eating that I follow daily.  As true when I'm home, as they are when I travel & visit family & friends.

Here's how Yummy Healthy Food Nutritional Counseling Works


​I'll have you fill out a food diary of everything that you eat in one week. 

Then for 6 weeks, we'll meet online, for 30 minutes each week.

During each meeting, I'll offer a teaching on an aspect of healthy eating.  We'll discuss ways that you can incorporate this teaching into your daily or weekly practice.

I'll send you an email with what we've discussed with concrete steps for you to follow.  

During the week, you can contact me by email with any questions you have.

​You'll learn how to:
  • Clean your kitchen to eliminate problem foods
  • Plan weekly meals
  • Grocery shop wisely
  • Prepare delicious food
  • Set goals to keep you on track
  • Eat out and socialize guilt-free
  • Eat healthy when you're traveling
  • Be compassionate as you make changes in your diet
  • Practice gratitude for the foods that sustain you

Yummy Healthy Food Guidelines

This package is a commitment to yourself.

You'll be asked to:
  • Meet with me online at your scheduled time.
  • Track what you're eating.
  • Make an effort to give up processed foods & those with added sugar & replace them with whole foods.
  • Spend an hour each day either shopping or preparing food.
  • Prepare your own food at home & find restaurants with nutritious options.
  • Make simple, sustainable changes with gentleness & compassion for yourself.​

"My Ob/Gyn recommended Bonnie Diamond, and I finally made an appointment. I was 5'3" and 220 pounds and in severe pain. I was not sure I could do this, but Bonnie put me right at ease (almost).

After my first session, I could move easier and the pain level dropped.  Bonnie said the first objective was to relieve my pain and then to get me moving more, eating better, and losing weight.

Bonnie had me start trying a new recipe (of my choice) each week and report it to her. Lean meats, vegetables, more protein and less "processed" foods. (Some were "keepers" and others were a one time only deal.) She also added stretching exercises and said to try walking a little at a time.

Inflammation is the body's response to illness or injury -- something helpful unless it goes on for too long.  When this happens, changing to an anti-inflammatory diet can be helpful.  This means replacing foods that cause inflammation, mostly sugar & overprocessed foods, with lots of vegetables, whole grains, healthy proteins and healthy oils.

Yummy Healthy Food Can Help with High Blood Pressure & High Cholesterol

Processed foods with added sugar & salt, caffeine, deli meats, and trans fats contribute to higher blood pressure.  Processed oils, fried snacks, dairy, alcohol and refined grains can lead to high cholesterol.  Interestingly, most foods that are unhealthy for one condition are also unhealthy for others.  This means that switching to a whole foods diet reduces the risk of many diseases.

Healthy eating and weight loss can prevent or delay Type 2 diabetes particularly if you're prediabetic, overweight, have high cholesterol or have a family history of diabetes.  Studies show that a diet high in fiber that includes non-starchy vegetables, protein and heart-healthy fats is associated with lower diabetic risk.
